COLUMBIA, MD, December 28th, 2017 – In the midst of the 2017 holiday season, with a new year upon us, we wanted to reflect on the past year at Verbal Beginnings. Ours was a year of tremendous success and growth, both for our business and the families we serve. We wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year, and how much time and effort our employees put in to make it the success that it was. In looking back on 2017, four words come to mind in describing our staff and the services they provided to our families:
Committed
Our staff are committed to providing high-quality services and receive ongoing professional development to further enhance their effectiveness. Our team’s commitment to effective service delivery drives our staff to pursue opportunities to continually grow and learn. Our employees have a true passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and making a difference to the kids and families they serve.
Positive
Employees who are part of a happy and caring work environment are excited about giving each family the caring services they need. The positivity of our staff allowed us to make great strides in 2017. Moreover, the perseverance and dedication of our staff to “roll up their sleeves” on challenging cases, while maintaining a positive attitude towards families, ensured significant growth in each of our departments:
- Healthy Beginnings, our feeding department, experienced skyrocketing demand and increased research output.
- Early Beginnings, our early intervention center, is blossoming, with more services than ever available to our learners.
- Social Beginnings has produced record-breaking gains for our advanced learners, providing them with an ever-growing array of community and life-skills opportunities that will be of benefit across the lifespan.
Team-Oriented
Effective therapy requires a team approach. We work together to meet and exceed the needs of our clients. Collaboration and interaction between our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and technicians produces continuous learning opportunities that allow everyone to grow and develop as professionals. Moreover, integrating families into the therapy team has allowed us to bridge the gap of communication between families and clinicians. We also assist families with resources and support outside of clinical services. Just as we monitor a child’s programming, we continuously monitor how the parents are doing, addressing any concerns and providing solutions as they arise.
Compassionate
Receiving an Autism diagnosis is tough on the child as well as the family. Our team is committed to recognizing the concerns of our clients by continuously engaging in an empathetic way with our families. Being able to put yourself in the shoes of a parent of a child with Autism is crucial for our continued success.
As we look forward to 2018, we see ourselves revolutionizing the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) by hiring the most dedicated employees who mirror the qualities mentioned above. Our ability to provide the most effective means of therapy to our learners starts with building a great team.
